Core content development is always a collaboration.

Experts must be tapped, research must be done, and in regulated environments such as medical technology, validation and regulatory approval must be met. For this webinar, collaboration took on a whole new dimension. My initial role was to work with our Archiving and Asset Management portfolio director to author an educational webinar around the topic of sample chain of custody challenges. Just days after kicking off the project, the portfolio director (and primary subject matter expert) was let go. Such is life. However, we had already committed to our webinar date and time with Epredia’s channel partner, Fisher, which was hosting and financing this project. After discussion with the project team, I was able to continue authoring the webinar by conducting my own primary research through customer and internal expert interviews coupled with relevant secondary research. After completing the content and getting necessary approvals, I recommended that we tap an expert in histology who contracts with Epredia, Joan Vesey, to serve as the speaker and public name attached to the content. The webinar was attended by 153 laboratory professionals, generated some great Q&A, and resulted in 4 net new sales with a total revenue of ~$250k.
